Before I go to bed, I think of something I want to do. Not something extraordinary, just something I enjoy like reading a book or playing video games. I promise myself I can do it if I get up on time and do the things I MUST do first. Even on a busy day, I can plan 15 minutes to do something I like. It is a reward for working hard. As I fall asleep, I am looking forward to it. When my alarm rings, I jump out of bed so I can get everything done and get to my reward! Maybe it’s a little childish, or like Pavlov’s dogs, but it works!

It sounds so effective. I’ll try it :)

    About Pavlov’s dog.

Every morning I drink two cups of coffee. I set it before grooming. While I’m grooming, I hear a sound of coffee maker boiling water, poko poko poko…

One day, the sound become a trigger of my grooming. When I hear the sound, I cannot stop myself grooming.

So, If I feel difficult to get up, I imagine about a coffee first in a bed. O.K. wake up for coffee. Then it triggers grooming.

This is my reverse usage of Pavlov’s dog :)
