A date and time stamp is putted for all indexcard in this system. It defines absolute name, and plays a key role when link between cards. Then putting stamp is kind of routine work. What about I use rubber stamp for indexcard?
In fact, I have been using a rubber stamp for the fieldnote and other documents, but not for the indexcard. The reason is simple : I can’t find rubber stamp that match my requirement. My requirement looks like,
2006.11.22 Wed
I think an information about “the day of the week” is important. Because our life is based on the week system. It is easier to remember what I did on last sunday, than just a sequence of number like “2006.11.19″.
I have been looking for such rubber stamp for long time, but I still can’t find it (sigh). At this moment, the best is done by hand. The hand written stamp is quick and exactly what I want.

Hawk, I use the same date nomenclature as you have described [2006.11.25.Sat] A stamp would certainly come in handy, so if you find one please let me know.
I also agree that by knowing the actual name day of the week is very important and plays a crucial role in providing meaning to the archive.
7 days and seven names, I’m presuming that there are probably quite similar patterns revealed when specific ‘name day’ data fields are identified and then overlayed per named day.
Also, for instance, once having all of the suns in a pile one could then place them side by side with sats and mons and tues for comparison.
The knowledge present in this view may be useful in identifying trends, which could possibly help assist in clarifying overall directions in thought processing.

I found there is a stamp single alphabet like “M” “T” “W” in stationary store before. Same time, I realize I will need nearly 10 strokes (pick up/leave pen and stamp) only to make date and time stamp with it. I’m sure I won’t put stamp with it.
And yes, I will let you know if I find good stamp in Japan.
In your comment, I especially notice words “pattern”, “trend”, “knowledge”. I think they are exactly keywords of this system.
